Sun on the Canola

Last year our neighbours planted corn in the front field.

This year they have planted canola.

It's beautiful....but it smells a little funny.

And the sun always seems to shine on it.

I took all of these photos when I was barbecuing supper.

A storm was passing on this evening.

And on another evening it was just a little cloudy....

But somehow when it shady here, the sun always seems to shine on the canola.

  1. Always love going by canola fields. So bright and sunny. Just be glad it isn't hemp. Not only does it stink to high heaven and have massive clouds of yellow pollen. But more importantly people are either fine with it or very allergic. I'm very allergic. Colin brought home a small Ziploc baggie of seeds to size on his cleaner. The bag just sitting on the table gave me an asthma attack! When Colin went and cleaned for Reuben he had to come in through the basement, take off everything and throw it straight in the washing machine. I'm just glad all the fields close to our house are ours so I don't have to worry too much.

    1. UUUggg.....asthma and allergies....they must be so horrible! I'm so lucky to not suffer with either.

  2. That's a good way to put it. The sun does always shine on a canola field. We have one right around the corner from us and it looks beautiful.

    1. Hi Deb! Johanna's 4-H club is heading to the farm of Deb McGregor on Wednesday! I'm hoping that there aren't two 'Deb McGregor's'.....because I'm looking forward to meeting you!

  3. LOVE canola fields, the ones near the cottage always make me smile

I would love to hear from you! Let me know if you enjoyed this post and please share it with a friend.
